1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text value stored by your browser. Cookies can keep a session secure, remember a choice or recognise a browser on a later request. Similar server-side identifiers may work together with a cookie.
2. Cookies currently used
- Session cookie
- An essential first-party cookie, normally named your_learning_path_session. It maintains the secure session, login and server-side preferences. The current inactivity lifetime is up to 24 hours.
- XSRF-TOKEN
- An essential security cookie used to protect forms and interactive requests against cross-site request forgery. It follows the active session.
- locale
- A first-party preference cookie that remembers the chosen language. It may remain for up to five years unless you replace or delete it.
- Remember-login cookie
- An essential login cookie whose name starts with remember_web_. It is set only when the remember option is used and currently expires after 24 hours.
- your_learning_path_analytics
- A first-party analytics cookie containing a random UUID. It links page views and feature events from the same browser and currently remains for up to 13 months.
- External-provider cookies
- Stripe or another external service may set its own cookies when you open an embedded or external function supplied by that provider. The provider’s cookie information then applies.
3. Product analytics
First-party product analytics are currently enabled. We record the random analytics ID, session ID, event type, route or feature name, time and limited event properties. When you are signed in, an event may also be associated with your internal user ID.
The analytics events do not contain an IP address, complete user agent, form values, message text or private learning content. They are used to measure visits, activation, retention and feature use, are not used for advertising and are automatically eligible for deletion after 13 months.
4. Why these cookies are used
- Essential cookies keep sessions, login and form requests secure and make requested account functions work.
- The language cookie remembers a preference you explicitly choose.
- The analytics cookie helps HZE Ltd. understand and improve the pilot service. HZE Ltd. currently relies on its legitimate interest for the related personal-data processing.
5. Your choices
A separate cookie-preference banner is not yet available. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, forms, Livewire interactions and saved language preferences from working correctly.
You may object to the processing of your analytics data by contacting us. A dedicated on-site preference mechanism is planned for a later implementation.
6. No advertising cookies
The current website does not use third-party advertising cookies or sell browsing profiles. Social share links are ordinary links and do not load social-network trackers merely because this website page is opened.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this policy if cookie names, purposes, providers or retention periods change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
